WORKS

Ideas become form.
Every project is different.
But every project begins with the same question.

What does this really mean?

BEAUTY

Designing Beauty

Beauty is not decoration.  It is the visible expression of life within.

MAYBELLINE New York
L’OREAL Paris

Preserving the essence of a brand while allowing it to evolve with time.

For more than three decades, I have shaped both the consistency and the evolution of global beauty brands.  Design is not about decorating a brand.  It is about helping a brand grow.

URUOIN

Turning the passage of time into a new expression of beauty.

A skincare brand inspired by the theme of hydration and created from naturally derived ingredients.  The logo captures a single drop of water, expressing the brand’s natural softness and vitality.

PEAK SKIN / PQQ

Turning science into beauty that feels human.

Vitality begins with nature. PeakSkin reflects the purity of mountains and lakes. PQQ embodies the potential that grows from within. Each expresses a different vision of the beauty of life.

NAIL ART

Turning the smallest canvas into a form of self-expression

In 1976, before nail art became a global industry,

I explored the nail as a miniature canvas where graphic design could become wearable expression.  Sometimes, a small idea becomes the beginning of a culture.

EXPERIENCE

Designing Trust

Experience is not a collection of projects.  It is the accumulation of trust.

SK-II

From beauty as a product to beauty as an experience.

Beauty is not created by a product alone.  It comes to life the moment a person connects with a brand. For SK-II,  I designed the retail experience as a unified brand journey — from the environment to the brand identity — expressing the essence of PITERA™ through the organic form of the arc.

RENAULT

Connecting a global brand with Japanese sensibility.

Brand is never expressed through a logo alone.  Architecture, signage, materials, typography, and color must speak with one voice.  For Renault,
I translated the spirit of a European brand into a unified dealership experience
for the Japanese market.

LUXOTTICA

Turning eyewear from a way of seeing into a way of being seen.

Eyewear is more than vision.  It frames personality, confidence, and identity.  For Luxottica, I created visual expressions that transformed products into contemporary fashion statements.

HOLLYWOOD MOVIE POSTERS

Distilling the essence of a story into a single image.

Michael Mann

A movie poster does not explain a film.  It is the first doorway into its world.  Every film brings together the vision of its director and producers, the intention of the story, the individuality of its actors, and the passion of many people behind it.  Understanding those elements—and building a relationship of trust with the filmmakers—I sought to distill the spirit of each film into a single image.
For me, that was the great fascination of designing movie posters in Hollywood.

IDENTITY

Designing Identity

A logo is more than recognition.  It is the first expression of
what a brand believes, and what it hopes to become.

PANDORA

Distilling an artist’s world into a single symbol.

Human nature is rarely simple.  It holds both darkness and hope.  For Pandora, I expressed that tension through a single line — capturing dignity, vulnerability, and the mystery that lives within us.

HOLLYWOOD MOVIE TITLE DESIGN

Turning a cinematic story into a lasting image.

Every story has its own atmosphere.  Before the first scene, there is already a world waiting to be felt.  Each logo was designed to capture the spirit, emotion, and timeless character of its story.

GFRANCO JEANS

Fashion is not clothing. It is presence.

Premium denim boutique proposals

GFRANCO JEANS
Fashion is not clothing. It is presence.  Luxury is never about excess.  A single line.  A single space.  A single proportion.  Together, they define the character and elegance of a brand

ROCOCO

Finding quiet elegance within ornament.

Great taste begins before the first sip. The label.  The bottle.  The anticipation. Together they become part of the experience, giving form to the joy and refinement of a premium beer.

CRAFT GIN

Distilling the character of a place into a singular presence.

Every landscape has its own spirit.  The purity of water.  The fragrance of native botanicals. The quiet beauty of the land.  These elements came together to create a package that reflects the identity of Yamanashi.

IDENTITY STUDIES

Different names.
Different industries.
Different stories.
Yet every logo begins
with the same pursuit—
revealing
what cannot yet be seen.
